Lost Language of the Bo

When Boa Sr, as she was known, died, she was believed to be about 85 years old. She was also the last of an ancient tribe known as the Bo from the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean. In 150 years the Bo went from freedom to syphilis and measles (brought to the islands by the British and the prisoners they housed there starting in the 1850s) to extinction. In honor of Boa Sr., take a minute to listen to the last of the Bo speaking the last of their language.
